Polar Express

This year, we were bound and determined to get tickets to the California State Railroad Museum's Polar Express ride. Tickets are extremely hard to get...but we got 'em!
We dressed in our matching PJ's and headed out for the ride. None of us knew what to expect. As it turns out, it was SUPER DUPER AWESOME!
After boarding the train, we started on our way. We had tap-dancers dance their way through the cars followed by hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies.

The announcer then read the book, THE POLAR EXPRESS to everyone. As he was reading, workers slowly made their way through the aisles with the book stopping at each kid so they could follow along for a page or two.
A short time later, we reached THE NORTH POLE!

We pulled our window down and stuck our head's out the window to wave to Santa Claus.
After turning around and heading back, we got a visitor in our car...SANTA CLAUS!
We were the first family he approached when he got to our car. He stepped in, looked at Lilly, and then announced: THE FIRST GIFT OF CHRISTMAS! and handed her her bell! It was AWESOME!

Then he proceeded to give a bell to each child. He was an awesome Santa. He stopped and took a picture with each child and never seemed to be in a hurry. He might have been the real thing?!?!?! Unfortunately, Lilly's little head got in the picture of Santa giving Wyatt his bell. We would have re-taken the picture, but Wyatt was a little unsure about Santa Claus!

The night was amazing! So much fun! After our ride, we wanted to take pictures in front of a real steam engine. As we lined up, we had a TV station approach us and ask us if we could be video-taped for their upcoming documentary about the Polar Express. Of course we said yes! We have yet to find out when we will be aired, but even if we don't see it, it was fun that they asked us to be a part of it!
We LOVE the POLAR EXPRESS!!
